JC Chemistry Term 2 Crash Courses

There are two separate offerings of crash courses for H2 Chemistry during term 2 of the school year. These will be great jumping on points to lock down key concepts, before joining regular tuition classes, which will further ensure consistency.

The first course is designed to help students fully understand three key topics of JC Chemistry, which are Energetics, Kinetics, and Acid-Base Equilibria.

A good understanding of these topics is necessary for students to develop an intuitive sense of how and why certain reactions occur, while others don't, as well as doing well for the extension topics of Organic Chemistry and Transition Elements.

Besides the Physical Chemistry topics, the other big topic for JC Chemistry is Organic Chemistry. The crash course for organic chemistry will be offered as a separate module, and will aim to develop skills in recognising key features in different organic molecules, and therefore predict the kinds of reactions that they will undergo.

Term 2 Crash Course

This course will cover the three most challenging Physical Chemistry topics of Energetics, Kinetics, and Acid-Base Equilibria.

During each lesson, Chung will highlight key concepts, as well as strategies for answering typical kinds of questions. Class sizes will be small such that Chung will be able to point out mistakes and problems to each student individually.

Term 2 Crash Course
Fees
  • Each topic consists of a 3-hr lesson.

  • Students can sign up for individual classes at $150 per class.
